Linksys WRT54G Default Password

For all versions of Linksys WRT54G default password is “admin”. The WRT54G password is case sensitive. WRT54G default IP address is 192.168.1.1. This is through the address that you are able to access the router's settings and options. There is no default username for WRT54G, which means that you can completely empty this field while logging in and leave it.

What to Do If the Linksys WRT54G Default Password Won't Work

If the password on your Linksys WRT 54G has ever been changed (which is a good thing!) Then the administrator's default password will not work. This "backup" password or nothing like it. In this case, your best bet is to reset its WRT54G router to its factory default settings, which will restore all the configurations during the router that was bought for the first time. Here's how to reset a Linksys WRT54G router: 01- Turn the WRT54G around so you have access to the back of the router. 02- Hold down the Reset button. You may need to use a pen or other small, pointy object to access it. 03- Release the reset button after holding it for at least 30 seconds. 04- Unplug the WRT54G for a few seconds and then plug it back in. 05- Wait 60 seconds, giving the router time to boot up. 06- Connect the WRT54G router to your computer via a network cable. 07- Connect to the router using its default IP address, 192.168.1.1, and enter the default password of admin. 08- Change the default router password from admin to something more secure. Be sure to take note of the password this time! Storing it in a free password manager is a good idea. Now that you have reset the router, you have to set up a wireless network again, as well as have to reconfigure any other settings you've already set up. It includes anything from a wireless password and any custom DNS server configured with the name of the network, static IP addresses, port forwarding rules, etc. When finished, I recommend using the built-in feature under the Admin> Backup Configuration menu to back up the configuration. In this way, if you ever want to reset the router again, you can easily restore them.   What to Do When You Can't Access the WRT54G Router! You may call to Linksys Support Number (800) 245-6042

Linksys EA4500 (N900) Default Password

Linksys EA4500 (N900) Default Password is “admin” for router. Make sure you spell it out, because this password, like most passwords, is case sensitive. Linksys EA4500 requires a username, which is the administrator, just like the password. Like almost all Linkes Router, 192.168.1.1 Linksys EA4500 is the default IP address. Note: The model number of this device is EA4500 but it is often marketed as the Linksys N900 Router. Also know that even though this router (1.0 and 3.0) has two hardware versions, both use the same information from above.

Linksys EA4500 (N900) Default Password Doesn't Work?

Although it is important to change the password to make something more secure (especially when the password is actually as simple as an administrator), sometimes it is difficult to remember how you have changed it. If the default Linksys EA4500 password is not working, you can easily reset the router to the default of your factory to restore the router's settings so that they can be done before any customization. Here's how to reset the Linksys EA4500 router to its factory default settings: 01- Make sure the router is powered on, and then flip it around so you have access to the back where the cables are plugged in. 02- With something small and sharp (a paperclip is a good choice), press and hold down the Reset button for about 15 seconds. 03- The goal is to wait for the power indicator light to flash. It should be around 15 seconds but it might be sooner or later. Unplug the power cable for a few seconds and then plug it back in. 04- Wait another 30 seconds or so for the router to boot back up. Now that you've reset the N900 router, you can log in to it from a web browser: 01- Open 192.168.1.1. 02- Make sure to do this on the same network as the router. If you're on a phone or tablet, connect to Wi-Fi. Enter the N900 default router information: admin for both the username and the password. 03- Change the default password to something other than admin, just don't forget what you've changed it to! If you want, you can store the new password in a free password manager to avoid forgetting it. 04- That's it!   Since the router has been reset, any other customization you have made has been reset like the wireless network password and SSID, DNS server settings, etc. You will have to re-enter that information to get the router back, how it was before the factory reset. If you want to reset the router in the future, then you want to re-enter this information, you can back up the configuration of the router into the file and then to restore all the settings, Can be restored back on. Linksys WRT54GL Default Password

Both versions of the Linksys WRT54GL default password is “admin”. Linksys WRT54GL does not have the default username, so when asked for it, just leave that field blank. Use IP address 192.168.1.1 to access the router through a web browser. This particular IP address is actually used with most other linksys router.

Help! The Linksys WRT54GL default password Doesn't Work!

If the default password for your Linksys WRT54GL does not work, it probably means that it has been changed from the “admin” to something more secure (which is actually a good thing). You can reset the custom password that you do not know, resetting the router to your factory default settings and back to the default administrator password. Resetting the WRT54GL router is easy. Here's how: 01- Turn the router around so you can see the back side where the antennas and cables are plugged in. 02- Make sure the power cable is firmly plugged in. 03- On the left side of the back of the WRT54GL, near the Internet plug, is the Reset button. Hold that button down for 5 seconds. The easiest way to press the Reset button is with a paperclip or something else that's small enough to fit in the hole. 04- After you let go of the Reset button, wait another 30 seconds or so for the router to reset. 05- Before you start using the router again, unplug the power cable for a few seconds and then plug it back in. 06- Wait for another 30 - 60 seconds for the router to fully boot back up. 07- Now you can access the WRT54GL router through a web browser at the default IP address: 192.168.1.1. Since the password has been reset, use admin to login to the router. 08- It's important to change the default password of the router now that it's back at admin, which isn't secure at all. Store the new password in a free password manager if you're concerned that you'll forget it again. At this point, if you want to re-enable wireless internet and other custom settings like DNS server, then you have to re-enter that information. This is because resetting the router does not remove the password, but there are no other custom changes you made. After performing the changes made in the router, it would be a good idea to back up the configuration of the router so that you can restore the backup in the future if you ever have to reset the router again. You can learn how to do this on page 21 of the User Manual (there is a link to the manual below).   What to Do When You Can't Access the Linksys WRT54GL Router! Linksys EA2700 Default Password

Linksys EA2700 default password is “admin”. Like most passwords, the Linksys EA2700 default password is case sensitive, which means that you should keep all the letters in lowercase.   In addition to the need of password, the EA2700 router also uses the default user name admin. The Linksys EA2700 default IP address used to access the router is 19 2.168.1.1. This is a common default IP address used for linky routers.
Which Hardware Version Do I Have?
Some router have different default passwords for some hardware or firmware versions (some router has two or more versions of the same router in some router). However, there is only one version of EA2700, and therefore there is only one set of valid credentials.. You can find the hardware version at the bottom of the model number labeled with "v" or at the side to indicate "version". If you do not see the version number on your router, then this means that this version is 1.

Help! The Linksys EA2700 Default Password Doesn't Work!

The default password is useful when you first login to the router, but it can be changed and changed as soon as possible. The only problem with this is that changing the password to something you know only, unfortunately, it is only something you can remember, and thus forget it. If you have forgotten your EA2700 router password, you can follow the steps given below to reset the settings of linky router to factory default, which will restore the default user name and password as described above. 01- Be sure the Linksys EA2700 is powered on, and then turn it upside down so you have access to the bottom of the router. 02- With something small and pointy, like a paperclip or mini screwdriver, press and hold down the Reset button for 15 seconds. The Ethernet port lights on the back of the router will flash simultaneously to show that the router is resetting. 03- Wait 15-30 seconds for the EA2700 to fully power back on. 04- Remove the power cable from the back of the router, for just 5 seconds or so, and then plug it back in. 05- After another 30 seconds, or once the power indicator light on the back of the router switches from a slow flash to a steady light, the router is ready to be used. 06- You can now login to the EA2700 and reconfigure the lost settings (wireless network password, etc.) with the admin username and password at 192.168.1.1. 07- Be sure to change the router password to something more secure than admin. Also consider storing the new password somewhere safe, like in a free password manager, to avoid forgetting it again. After resetting them, adding back to all the customizations made in your router can be a difficult process. I recommend backing up the EA2700 configuration in a file that you can restore to the router if you ever have to reset it again in the future. Linksys E2000 Default Password

Linksys E2000 default password is “admin” for router. This password, like most passwords, is case sensitive, which means, in this example, that you can not use uppercase letters. You also need to use the admin as a user name. Some linksys router does not require a username, but it must be one in the E2000. To reach the E2000 router, use the default IP address 192.168.1.1. Enter the address in the navigation bar in your web browser to access the login page for E2000.

Help! The Linksys E2000 default password Doesn't Work!

It is strongly recommended to choose a password to make it difficult and difficult to guess. This is probably the reason why you can not go to your E2000 router - you have changed the password from an admin to a more complex, which is good! If you have forgotten your Linksys E2000 default password, you can restore the configuration of the router to your factory default, which will once again change the password to the admin. Here's how to do that:   01- Make sure the E2000 is plugged in and powered on. 02- Turn the router around so you can see the power cable and network cable plugged into the back. 03- Notice the Reset area—it's a small hole with an even smaller button inside. 04- With something small and sharp, like a paperclip, press down on that reset button for around 5 seconds. 05- After you let go of the button, wait a good 30 seconds for the router to finish resetting. 06- Now unplug the power cable from the E2000 router for just a few seconds, and then reattach it. 07- Wait another 30 seconds for the router to finish booting up. 08- Now that you've restored the settings of the Linksys E2000 router back to their default state, you can log in at 192.168.1.1 with the username and password admin. 09- At this point, it's important to change the default password to something much more secure than admin. If you're having trouble coming up with a hard-to-guess password, see these strong passwords for examples.   Remember that the router has been reset, so you must reconfigure any other custom settings before resetting it. If you had a wireless network, you would need to reconfigure the SSID and password; Along with DNS server settings, port forwarding settings, etc. After replacing all your custom settings, it will be wise to back up the configuration of the router so that you can re-enter this information in the future if you ever reset the router. You can see how to back up the configuration settings of the router of the E2000 user manual (at the bottom of this page there is a manual link).   What to Do When You Can't Access the E2000 Router. Linksys EA6500 Default Password

Linksys EA6500 default password is “admin” for both versions of the router. With most passwords, the Linksys EA6500 default password is case-sensitive. When you log in for the first time, some link router does not require a user name, but EA6500 has a default user name, and it is similar to the password: admin. The default IP address of the Linkes EA 6500 router is similar to most linkys router: 192.168.1.1.

When the Linksys EA6500 Default Password Doesn't Work

At some point during the life of your particular Cisco Linksys EA 6500 router, the default password was probably changed, which is a good thing, and you have forgotten what changed it. No worries, you can restore the software to your default state on EA6500 just to restore the default password. How to Restore to Factory Defaults You usually restore a router using a special button or sequence of actions. Here's how it's done on the Linksys EA6500:
  • With the router plugged in and powered on, turn it around so that you have full access to the back.
  • With a paperclip or something else thin and pointy, press down on the Reset button for 5 to 10 seconds and hold it down until the network cable lights flash at the same time.
  • Remove the power cable from the router for 10 to 15 seconds and then plug it back in.
  • Give the Linksys EA6500 30 seconds to fully boot back up before continuing.
  • Make sure all the cables are still attached and then turn the router back around to its normal position.
  • With the EA6500 reset to factory defaults, you can log in at 192.168.1.1 with the default username and password (both are admin).
Make sure to save the default router password on your EA6500 as soon as possible. Then, use a free password manager so you never forget your new password. At this point, now Cisco Linksys EA 6500 has been reset, any custom settings you entered in the router have been excluded and need to be re-entered. This means that the wireless network SSID and password have gone away, any custom DNS server settings have been removed, and the port forwarding details have expired. Now, you need to reconfigure your Linksys EA6500 with new settings. You may contact to Linksys Support Number (800) 245-6042

Linksys E1200 Default Password

Find The Linksys E1200 Default Password & Other Default Login Info: Linksys E1200 default password “admin”. Like most other passwords, this is case sensitive for the E1200 router, which is in this scenario that you can not use any uppercase letters.
When you are asked for the default username, enter the “admin” there too.
192.168.1.1 Linksys common default IP address for the router.
What to Do if the E1200 Default Password Doesn't Work

If the administrator's default password does not work for your E1200 router, it means that it has been changed to something else, perhaps something more secure. Although this is a good thing, it means it is also easy to forget.

Fortunately, you do not have to buy a new router or simply avoid logging in to your router - you can reset it back to the factory's default settings, which will restore the default information from above.
This is how to reset the Linksys E1200 router:
01-Start by making sure the router is plugged in and powered on normally.
02-Flip the router over so you have access to the bottom.
03-With something small and sharp, like a paperclip or pin, press and hold down on the Reset button for 5-10 seconds.
04-Flip the router back over to its normal position and then wait another 30 seconds for the Linksys E1200 to fully reset.
05-Now unplug the power cable for a few seconds and plug it back in.
06-Wait another 30 seconds or so for the Linksys E1200 to power back on.
07-Now that the router has been reset, you can log in with the default username and password of admin as described above. Use http://192.168.1.1 to access the router.
08-Don't forget to change the router password now that it's been restored to the way-too-easy-to-guess password of admin. You can store the more complex password in a free password manager if you think you might forget it.

After resetting the router, all settings are flushed and restored outside of the box, you will have to re-configure all the customization settings like any wireless network settings (such as SSID and wireless password), DNS server settings , Port forwarding options, etc.
One thing that you can do to prevent re-configure of that information again in the future after the reset, is to back up the router configuration in one file.

Linksys E4200 Default Password

Linksys E4200 Default Password is “admin” for the router. This password is case-sensitive, so make sure you spell it here as if we do not have any capital letters.
The user name field can be left blank because E4200 does not have the default user name.
Linksys E4200 has a default IP address, however - 192.168.1.1. You are connected to the router to log in.
Note: Linksys E4200 v2 is sold and marketed as a separate router compared to the E4200, but it is a slightly upgraded version of the same device.
The default password for both routers is the same, but v2 needs to be entered as a user name.

When the Linksys E4200 Default Password Doesn't Work
If you are not working with the default administrator password when trying to log in to your Linksys E4200, it probably means that you have changed the password to a safer, but you have forgotten what you chose.
This is a warning to choose a new password - it is a great practice but it also means that you cannot easily understand what it is. However, if you forget your E4200 password, then you can reset your linky router to your factory default settings so that password administrator can reset (you can reset it again when you are resetting it ).

Here's how to reset the E4200 router:
  1. Make sure the router is plugged in and powered on.
  2. There should be a light on somewhere to indicate this, like around the network cable or somewhere on the front of the device.
  3. Flip the router over so that you have access to the bottom.
  4. With something small and pointy (like a paperclip), press and hold down the tiny Reset button for 5-10 seconds.
  5. The idea here is to hold the button down until all the port lights flash at the same time. The Ethernet port lights are on the back of the router.
  6. Wait a good 30 seconds for the Linksys E4200 to reset, and then unplug the power cable for a few seconds.
  7. Plug the power cable back in and wait another 30 seconds or so for the router to fully boot up.
  8. Now that the E4200 has been reset, you can access the router at 192.168.1.1 with the default information from above. Remember that the admin username is needed for the E4200v2.
  9. You need to change the router's default password now that you've reset it to admin, which is not a secure password. To encourage you to make a complex password, and to avoid forgetting it again, you can store it in a free password manager.
Resetting E4200 does not just leave the user name and password, but also does not have any other custom settings you have configured. For example, if you had a wireless network installed before resetting the router, you would have to reenter that information - SSID, wireless password etc.
If you want, you can back up those custom settings in a file so that you can restore them all at a time if you ever have to reset the router in the future. This is done through the administration of the router> Management menu. There are some screenshots that you can use for reference on page 61 of the E4200 User Manual, which is linked to the bottom of this page.

Linksys WRT120N Default Password

The default Linksys WRT120N default password is “admin”, which is the same password used by most Linksys routers. WRT120N default password is case-sensitive (i.e. the admin must not have any uppercase letters), not only with router but with most passwords in websites and elsewhere.
Although some routers require a default username that must be entered with a password, the WRT120N user name field can be left blank - only password is required. Ignore the username field while logged in.
WRT120N default IP address is 192.168.1.1. This is the address that the network-connected device router and ultimately use to access the Internet. This IP address is also used as the URL to open the settings of the router.

Does the Linksys WRT120N Default Password Not Work? Here's What to Do

While the default username and password already specified for WRT120N works with the router outside the box, anyway, it can be changed from within the router's settings, which means that you have forgotten what you did to them has changed.
If you think that you cannot log into Linksys WRT120N with those credentials, you can always reset to the default settings and reset the router to restore the administrator's default password.
Here’s how to reset a Linksys WRT120N router:
01-The Reset button is at the back of the router, so turn the whole thing around so you can see all the plugged in cables.
02-Using a small object, like a paperclip or pin, hold down the Reset button for 10-15 seconds.
03-Now remove the power cable from the back of the WRT120N for a few seconds and then plug it back in.
04-After waiting a good 60 seconds, time for the router to power on fully, be sure the network cable coming from your computer is still attached at the back of the router.
05-Use the default http://192.168.1.1 IP address to connect to the router with the default password of admin.
06-Don’t forget to change the router’s default password to something more complex than admin. If you're afraid you might forget the new password, you can store it in a secure, free password manager.
This means that you have to reconfigure all your custom network settings such as your SSID, network password, guest network configuration, etc.

Pogo.com Cheats and Pogo.com Autos

Pogo.com Cheats and Pogo.com Autos: When you think of a game introduced in casual games like Arcade or other online gaming websites like Pogo.com, you generally do not think about fraud. Most of the games offered on such sites are not considered competitive.

In fact, many sports are single player games - so why are we cheating? Or when we use Game Auto, we are also cheating? Let's have a look to get a better understanding of those situations. (If after deciding that you try it, we will be able to get such a game auto.)
Pogo.com Game Autos
Here's a good definition of what a game auto is, can be found here. However, described in its simplest terms, a game auto is just a small program that runs on your PC and plays a game for you. Most game autos have some different settings for them such as speed, some in aggression (in game card auto), and other settings depending on the game. Once you set it to your liking, you load the game, start the game auto, and let it run. It plays the game for you.
To understand why someone might want to use Game Auto on Pogo.com, you should be a little familiar with how the site works. Pogo has a ranking system and place a reward system.
Basically, as soon as you play the game (most of them) you earn a token, a type of virtual money used to buy items for your Pogo Mini (their version of Avatar) on the site. Pogo.com provides games that any member can play, and such games that require paid subscriptions, there are other similar sites as well.
In many games, badges are called, and the site faces challenges to the weekly rewarded players with these badges. The badge is just an image to add to your collection that shows that you have completed a certain challenge. I would say that it is similar to the achievements of the Xbox 360; Good, but a long time is useless. If you are a member of Pogo.com then you already know this. One of the most obvious reasons to use Game Auto is the badge addiction of some badges, often called badge hounds.
Bottom Line on Pogo.com Cheats
In my humble opinion, you should only play games that you like. Do not worry about the number of badges or tokens in your profile! Just play and have fun. It is definitely my duty to inform me about your knowledge about what is there, and what is going on with it so that you can be informed properly.

Although some Linksys routers do not require a default user name, the Linksys E2500 router uses: It uses the “admin” default user name. It uses the “admin” for both passwords and user names by default.
Like the other Linksys router, the default IP address to be used to reach the 192.168.1.1.
Note: There are three different hardware versions for Linksys E2500, but they all use the same username, password and IP address.
When the Linksys E2500 Default Password Doesn't Work
If the router is first installed, the Linksys E2500 default password and user name are always the same, but you can change (and should) in both unique and quite securely.
Of course, its only fall is that it is easy to forget from newer, more complex, word and number admin and admin.
If you do not know the username and password assigned to the router, then you have to reset it to your factory settings.
Resetting the E2500 to its factory default settings is the only way to restore the default username and password. Here's how:
  1. First, the router should be plugged in and powered on.
  2. Physically turn the E2500 over so you have full access to the bottom side.
  3. Using a small, sharp object such as a straightened paperclip, press and hold the Reset button for 5 to 10 seconds. Continue to press the Reset button until the Ethernet port lights on the back flash at the same time.
  4. Unplug the power cable for 10 to 15 seconds and then plug it back in.
  5. Wait 30 seconds before continuing so that the E2500 has plenty of time to boot back up.
  6. Confirm that the network cable is still attached to the computer and router.
When You Can't Access Your E2500 Router
Now that the settings have been restored, you can access the Linksys E2500 at 192.168.1.1 with the “admin” default login information for both the user name and the password.
Make sure to change the password of the router to something safe, as well as the username if you want an extra layer of security. It's a good idea to store a new password in a free password manager so that you never forget it.
Now, you need to reconfigure your wireless network settings because resetting E2500 has removed all your custom ones. It has your network name, network password, and any other custom settings configured such as port forwarding rules or custom DNS servers.

What is a Linksys Range Extender?

Linksys Range Extender: Let’s imagine, one time you family streaming favorite video, playing games online, talking someone on FaceTime and searching something over the internet and suddenly they have got a Wi-Fi dead spot-then everything stops. There is no internet access where you are in. However, some other room getting full Wi-Fi signals. At that point of time a Wi-Fi range extender will help you to boost your Wi-Fi signal to every corner of your house.
How Does a Linksys Range Extender Work?
A Range Extender is a hardware device that replicates your wireless signal from your wireless router to larger area when your normal router signal does not reach. It capture your wireless signal from your oruter and rebroadcasting it to areas where the Wi-Fi signal is weak or not reachable. A range extender is the shortstop that placed between you and your wireless router. It catch the signal from your wireless router and throw it to you.
Focus on your device settings while using a range extender. Maybe you do not think it, but your Wi-Fi device(like your computer, smart phone, etc….) will be connected to your router until you manually switch to your range extender network, even if your range extender is closer to your device compared to your router.
Setting Up a Linksys Range Extender
Setting up or installing a Range Extender is a very easy task if you have some technical expertise. Just plug the power cord to range extender and let it initialize. Once its done, press the WPS button on your both of the devices wireless router and range extender. Once its connected with each other, you are ready to connect to the internet. Now, place the range extender where your wireless router signal strength end goes strong, but not to close your wireless router otherwise you may not get signal where your router could not be reachable.
Normally, a best place for the range extender between the router and the device you want to connect where your router was not reachable. Range Extender suffer from similar interference with Wi-Fi router, so avoid the obstacles like concrete walls, metal objects and microwaves.
Many range extender come with software that can help estimate from placement-linksys spot finder technology, for example, provides a three-step visual guide to find the right place.
Choosing the Right Range Extender
Range extender provides a good solution for inadequate Wi-Fi coverage, as long as they match the network capabilities of your current router. Although a category extender will still work with a Wi-Fi router that has a different network speed, it will not improve or "upconvert" your existing router's capabilities.
So do not buy fancy extensions with those features which That are not compatible with your old router equipment.
Similarly, if your current router is capable of handling high frequencies, do not skimp with an extender that has limited Wi-Fi standards. The only exception to this rule is that if you are making future proofing, advanced range extender like wireless-ac, with the intention of upgrading matching routers.
You might face some problem while setting up your Linksys Router and Linksys Range Extender. You may call our expert at (800) 245-6042

Use Your Own Connection
If possible, avoid public WiFi completely and stick to your own Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. Use public Wi-Fi if you need it, but try to reduce your exposure as much as possible.
Don’t Provide Personal Information over Public Wi-Fi
When using a public connection, be sure to avoid browsing websites that require you to provide login details. Things You Can Do to Troubleshoot Slow Web Browser

Slow web browser on your PC not only consumes your productivity but also causes much frustration in haste to get some important information or upload important files or data to download or upload. A slow browser consumes time and your streamed or loaded video can turn into a bad slideshow, which results in uncomfortable and frustrating situations. Have you ever noticed that your browser is slowing down slowly, or even getting crashed more often? If so, then it may be possible that this virus has been infected with infection or time has come to establish the latest update.
Unnecessary plug-ins, extensions, and even hidden browsing history can slow down your browser, or force it to crash.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot your slow web browsers.

1.       Try using a different browser
Some users prefer to use Internet Explorer (IE), some will choose Chrome and others may use Safari or Firefox for web searching. All of these are decent browsers, but IE has been criticized a lot for its lack of security features. A browser plays a vital role in speeding up or slowing down your browsing experience as most of the web pages are specially designed by using browser customized content.
If you’re facing browser slowdown issues, then it is recommended to change your current browser to a more advanced and updated one. Firefox is well-equipped with numerous extensions that block elements such as JavaScript, advertisements, Flash, and other things to offer an amazing surfing experience and speed up load time considerably. Google Chrome uses less memory on your hard drive and can do amazingly well even with the sites having a lot of JavaScript and Flash technology. Opera turbo has been launched to cater users with slow network connections and has proved itself to be very effective for many.
 2.       Delete unwanted add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions
Many tech experts consider that having plug-ins and add-ons on your browsers makes your surfing experience more difficult and sluggish. Most of the extensions and special blockers can cause delay in instant page loads thus, delays your work and doesn’t allow you to meet deadlines on time. Several non-essentials such as themes, skins, and gizmos should be the prime things on your to be deleted list. You can easily disable unnecessary plug-ins and add-ons to obtain better browsing and downloading speed.
Steps to disable add-ons on some popular browsers:
1. Firefox -> Go to Tools, select Add-ons, and click on the ‘disable both unwanted add-ons and plug-ins’ button. Now, restart Firefox to bring these changes into effect.
2. Google Chrome -> Launch Chrome, go to Customize, and select Tools. Now, look for Extensions and click on the ‘disable unwanted plug-ins’ option. Start your Chrome again and experience the changes.
3. Internet Explorer -> Go to Tools, navigate to the ‘Manage Add-ons’ section, and click on ‘disable unwanted add-ons’ button. Re-launch IE to put changes into effect.
3.       Close unused tabs
Unused tabs, RSS feeds, and various auto-refreshing websites consume a large amount of bandwidth, even if you aren’t looking at them. Generally, all the pages especially news websites, social networking sites, stock websites, and many other pages automatically refresh themselves every few minutes or seconds to keep you in sync with latest updates. It is wise to close these websites when you’re not using them so that they don’t eat up your bandwidth and make your browsing experience slow.
4.       Identify the speed your ISP is offering
Generally, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) plays a fair game by offering you the exact bandwidth that has been mentioned in the plan, but some of them may charge you more and offer less Internet speed. Hence, it is very important to identify the speed of your plan, which your ISP is supposed to be providing. Analyzing the speed can reveal whether the problem is on their end or yours. Take out your last bill and look for the exact speed that has been offered by your Internet provider. If you don’t have a bill, then check the ISP’s website or contact them directly.
5.       Conduct speed test
Conducting a speed test will show the exact picture of your ISP and your PC or browser problems in one go. The test should bring results close to what your ISP has quoted, the closer it is the better services you’re getting. Don’t just start fighting with your ISP just because you’ve got a low result. Try some other computer or device on your network first, and then lodge a complaint, if you observe low results on each of them.
Apart from these, upgrading your Internet service to a better package, scanning for viruses and removing them immediately, updating browsing software and drivers can also bring tremendous changes in browsing speed. Feel free to visit official web pages and download all the latest updates to enhance the capability and productivity of your browsers. Additionally, avoiding interference from other wireless devices on a Wi-Fi network, optimizing your modem or router, and repositioning them can also help in getting good browsing speed.
